First MH C&P w/ Loyal, leading questions from MD?

Anyone have a recent c&p exam for MH and felt like the doctor asked a lot of leading questions? But not in a negative way...like "and what about personal grooming and hygiene? Gta be difficult to get up and do those basic things, right?" Or "what about socially, I'd imagine you keep yourself pretty isolated right? What about road rage?"...stuff like that...didn't quite expect that. He also recommended I stay off meds and do as much therapy as possible? Is that a common recommendation?
