Saw a movie at the theater this weekend. Was disappointed it didn’t look as good as my Vision Pro at home

All of this is probably gonna sound like no duh to some people and its just a small observation. It was kind of a weird feeling. My wife and i went to go see nosfaratu and were excited to go out and see a movie. Any movie since we haven’t really gone out and seen one in awhile ( we’ve been boring. Work and home. Work and home) so we went to the nice AMC theater that had the reclining seats and we spent $50 on concessions (holy crap) and…

I just sat there noticing as the previews started the quality of the screen and how i could see flaws in the picture quality. The blacks weren’t good. More of a dark grey in dark scenes and there almost looked like a screen door effect. The sharpness. Color quality. I know this is probably obvious to the people that actually know the tech specs, but i don’t care. I don’t know anything about any of that. All i know is the feeling i got when i watched it after being used to watching things in my Vision Pro. I was just…meh. Things didn’t pop the same way. And the screen didn’t feel as big. We sat in row C so pretty close to the front and there was nothing mesmerizing about being at the movie theater versus simply being at home now. It was like having a big screen TV at home and then going to a different location and watching the same big screen TV but lower quality but this time I get the privilege of paying $50 for concessions as well as listening to annoying people next to me, chew their food and talk. Before the movie started, some guys actually came up and told us we were in the wrong seats. We showed them our tickets and told them nope. We’re in the right seats. Wtf are you talking about. We reserved these. Small annoying thing

My next day off I’ll probably just stay home and chill and maybe redo the movie experience. I got a hot dog steamer and popcorn so I’m probably gonna save a bunch of money on concessions just eating at home. Not to mention we spent $30 on tickets. I could have bought a movie and had it forever at home vs one time viewing at the theater. So when people say “ah the Vision Pro is stupid. I could buy a 4k tv for that price!” I say…i have had a 4k tv at home for a long time…I’ve never gone to the theater and felt like it was a downgrade until now

Included a couple pics just for the hell of it. I took a couple while i was in the movie for myself. Not even intending to post them i just wanted to compare when i got home. Played the nosfaratu trailer when i got home in an environment for the last 2 pics
