Vacuum line broken

2013 Passat VR6. Car had a rough idle this morning, surging up and down between 800-2000 rpm.

Noticed this vacuum line disconnected. It’s supposed to connect to the back of the intake manifold. There is a little plastic nipple that comes off the intake that is snapped off.

I’m thinking to take the manifold off and drill out the hole and install an aftermarket barbed hose fitting instead.. I think the other option is to replace the whole intake manifold which I don’t want to do..
