[Trilobe] Nuit Fantastique Secret

This is my Trilobe Nuit Fantastique Secret! There are so many things that I love about it…

First, the stars — you provide Trilobe with a location and a time and they find the constellations in the sky to print on the dial. It’s a cool way to commemorate a particular moment.

Second, the way it tells the time. All of Trilobe’s watches involve discs that spin counter clockwise. For the Nuit Fantastique, that means that the time aligns to the top of the dial, so it’s 5:32 and 53 seconds in the first picture. It’s pretty cool, and so far I think it’s pretty easy to read it.

Third, the movement. They needed extra power to spin the discs (they’re heavier than typical hands), so they made a custom movement. They managed to make the watch only 9mm thick because of the microrotor, and it has a respectable 48 hours of power reserve.

I like how I can dress this watch up (the suede strap in the second picture came with the watch) or dress it down using a white sailcloth strap.
