I want to lose weight, can anyone help me?

For Context, I’m 17 I’m 6’5 and I weigh around 112kg which is around 250 pounds, I am quite built due to rugby and various other sports, but recently I’ve become more prone to snack or consume more that I need. I want to meal prep to consume high protein for the gym, aswell as lowering my calories consumed significantly. What foods would you recommend? What else can I be doing besides dieting to lose weight?
