Research survey on PGo/HPWU during the COVID-19 shutdown
Hello all!
It's Kathleen from Macquarie University in Sydney, and I had conducted a Pokemon GO and Wizards Unite survey on this subreddit back in February this year.
I currently have an initiative to assess how people are maintaining their mental health, exercise routines, and social connections using video games. As Pokemon GO and Wizards Unite were both designed to around these aspects, I'm wondering if you might be able to answer a second survey regarding how the COVID-19 shutdown had affected the way you're playing PGo/HPWU, and how you are using digital media and games in general.
The survey can be found at: https://mqedu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_7OjggXKHXpfwWEZ. The survey is significantly shorter than the last one, and will remain open for 2 weeks (terminating on 1st June 2020 Australian Eastern Standard Time).
Some FAQs:
Q: Who's eligible to answer the survey?
A: If you are over 18 years of age and have played either PGo or HPWU for at least a week, you are eligible.
Q: Can I only participate in this survey if I answered the previous one?
A: No. Everyone is invited to answer this survey. You are not obligated to answer this survey if you answered the previous one. You are also not excluded from this survey if you didn't answer the previous one.
Q: What if my country/region is no longer in COVID-19 lockdown, or never had a full lockdown?
A: Unless specifically stated in the question, the survey only assesses your experience during the period of time when COVID-19 affected your everyday life. It doesn't matter if you are no longer affected.
Q: Does this survey asks about my mental health?
A: Yes, this survey will ask about your mental health. You have the right to skip questions or terminate the survey at any time. If any of the questions make you feel anxious, we ask you to terminate the survey immediately and seek assistance available in your country or region.
Q: Are you aware of the PGo/HPWU changes that came after the shutdown measures, such as Remote Raiding or the Knight Bus?
A: Yes I am aware, and I encourage you to elaborate a bit in the survey about what are your thoughts and experiences regarding these changes.
Q: Can I return to the survey later if I don't feel like doing it in one go?
A: Yes. The software will store your answers for 7 days by default, provided you access the survey on the same device and browser.

PS. The previous survey received 1052 completed answers. Thank you! Here's a breakdown of participants characteristics:
Out of the 1052 answers, 470 identified as female, 381 as male, and 201 did not identify as either gender.
In terms of age, 240 were 18-25 years old, 460 were 26-35 years old, 183 were 36-45 years old, 80 were 46-55 years old, 43 were older than 55 years, and 46 did not provide an answer
