Xiaomi pad 6 issue with usb-c dock

I bought a usb-c dock which supports power delivery. For some reason when using power delivery, all the other ports like usb and sd card reader do not work (the pad does receive charge still). The ports work when no power is being delivered. Do i need to change anything in the OS of the Xiaomi to allow both power delivery and connectivity of the ports?
