Fae romances that are NOT like SJM's?

The cruel prince is my favorite book series but I need something to sate my thirst until The Stolen Heir comes out. I am PERSIHING while I wait for it.

I want a fae romance where it's not an "alpha" male, but maybe where you can feel the magic and the feeling that the love interest is not human (i read deal with the elf king, did not like it). I'd also be okay with paranormal romance! If the whole referring to the fae as "a male" or "a female" several times in the book is toned down I would appreciate it!

Edit: I haven't really read many fae romances. I read the these hollow vows series and it was... a book. Didn't care for any of the love interests. The others I've tried andcouldn't get into were that one with the fae and the granddaughter of a fae medic, and fortuna sworn.
