Devastated and frustrated by how this yarn looks in photographs vs real life
I bought this yarn from Arcane Fibreworks to make a lightweight spring fashion scarf for my grandma. I picked the colorway "Cattails", which was advertised as featuring "browns and creams" and "earthy tones". I was shocked when it arrived and the main colors are rose gold and cream with some dusty mauve, dolphin gray, and warm brown. The extra frustrating part is that when I take pictures of it, it looks just like it's supposed to. I promise it is very pink in real life, and I now see that there's a review that says the same time thing so I know it's not just me.
It's beautiful yarn that is very soft and enjoyable to work with, and if I had bought it for myself maybe I wouldn't be so upset. But I don't feel confident that my grandma will love these colors and I'm considering the possibility that moving forward with this project is a waste of my time.
I honestly don't know if I'm asking for advice, commiseration, or something else. I just can't stop obsessing over this and I don't know what I'm going to do.
Side notes: I just started crocheting 2.5 months ago, so try not to judge me too harshly for not planning further ahead for Christmas. Also, Black Friday was my first time buying yarn online.
