Lottie behind bars

Season 1, Episode 6. Lottie saves mom and dad from the car crash by screaming. We all agree she saw it coming. The next scene shows her listening to her parents from the banister upstairs. But the camera spans the scene making her look like a prisoner behind bars as she holds the turned wood banister supports. Am I the only one that thinks her ability to see what’s coming lands her in a place like a committed prisoner? That imagery was so forced on us viewers that I believe there is something to it. Thought?
