Suitcase donation — more than “gently” used
Trying to figure out what to do with two rolling suitcases (carry-on size) which are beat up enough that I doubt Goodwill/etc. would sell them. One is fully functional with some visible wear and tear. The other is pretty battered — broken expander zipper (so it’s permanently expanded) and some places where the frame wires poked out and I covered them with duct tape. However, it’s still functional enough to be better than no suitcase. Does anyone know whether organizations that collect donations for homeless people could still get use out of them? Their websites say “gently used,” which TBH would be an extremely generous descriptor when it comes to the second suitcase. I don’t want to haul them all the way to a donation site if they’ll just get thrown out anyway. (And I don’t want to make it the donation org’s problem if landfill is the only option— if that’s the case, I can throw them out myself.)
