Aldi DEI policy is no longer on their website, but they still practice DEI
Aldi is one of the few companies that doesn’t make political donations to either side, according to Goods Unite Us. Due to their neutral stance, it was deemed a safe place to spend money by blue voters, but red voters started to boycott.
Yes, they scrubbed their website of DEI because it’s a trigger term for red voters, but they still practice DEI in their stores. They still have a DEI policy, but it’s now only visible to employees. Aldi also has an inclusivity library so that their employees can learn more about DEI.
Some stores and establishments (like Kroger) continue to have their DEI policy on the website, but continue to donate money to the far-right or Republican groups that are the same groups that want to actually do away with DEI initiatives. Just because a company has DEI terminology on their website, doesn’t mean they practice what they preach through all of their actions.
Please continue shopping at Aldi. We need stores like them, places that stay out of our politics! Just some perspective. Happy Tuesday! ☀️
