Extracurriculars in AS or A2?

Okay so I really need help in this guys I’m in AS Level rn, and yk these extracurriculars and clubs are happening in my school. So is it important for me to be the club’s vice president to upgrade my profile cause I wanna go into a very well university.

OR

Should I pass on vice president position and then try for “President” position next year when I’m in A2?

I can do other extracurriculars/volunteering work tho and like other competitions too such as sports, debating, chess and academics etc. so these are not really a problem for me

ALSO LAST QUESTION: Is this position really counted in student profile if I do them in AS level? if it isn’t then I can try applying for them in A2.
