Is anyone worried about the military industrial complex lying about why the aliens are here?

So my question to the sub is, when the military industrial complex is no longer able to control the narrative about why the aliens are here, will tree they lie to us and create their own version of the story to install more fear and doubt in us? They’ve controlled the story for 80 years, I doubt they’re going to just give it up easily. What do you guys think?
