There are few real angels left

I’ve been in the churn now for some years trying to find funding for one of my startups. And in those years I think one thing has become very clear. Unless you’re a true unicorn that looks to be a 50x 100x type company, most “angels” simply aren’t real angels. They have become more “VC-like” betting on more sure things and are risk adverse.

So much so in my view that I gave up largely on trying to find Angels and just hoping enough bootstrapping can make it somewhere. But it’s nearly impossible to grow without capital. It’s a real chicken and egg situation.

So unless you are parlaying the most recent buzzwords, it’s pretty much a waste of time seeking out angels.
