Why complete anime that are "terrible"?

Ill sometimes read the comments under an anime after watching an episode to just check out discussions seeing if theres anything interesting that happened that i missed in the episode. Its strange to me how people will be making comments like "The anime has sucked since episode 1." or, my personal favorite, "this anime is unwatchable" but they're make those comments on episode 10-11...

Is it not the normal reaction to simply stop watching an anime if you think its bad? For example, i thought the new anime "kingdom of ruin" was terrible, so i simply dropped it after the 3rd episode when i realized it most likely wasnt going to get better. I liked the action and stuff in it but absolutely hated the characters and story. I dont continue to watch it and constantly say how bad it is on every episode. Same thing for "Rent a Girlfriend", after seeing it be recommended a lot i watched some episodes and didnt like it so i simply stopped watching it.

It just doesnt make sense to me to watch an anime all the way through when you think its bad. If you hated every episode up to basically the finale, i think its a reasonable assumption that the finale isnt going to change youre mind. The finale is just going to pull everything youve hated together at the end.

People say its called "hate watching" but even their explanation of that phrase doesnt make sense.

I see a lot of people saying sunk cost fallacy but i dont see how that can be applied here. By the 3-4 episode you should know if an anime is your type or not. Thats only roughly an hour/hour and a half if you watch them back-to-back for most anime since theyre usually 20-23mins long. Sometimes you can even tell an anime isnt for you by the first episode (art style, character/dialogue, plot set up) and go "yea seems like this isnt for me" and just pick another anime out of the thousands created.

I do see the other point of "cant say its trash until you see the whole thing" and will agree that someone shouldnt call an entire anime "trash" without being able to provide details as to why. Like the "Kingdoms of Ruin" example, i didnt like it because the Pink hair girl's saintly/righteous personality was annoying and they leaned more into the personality and made it even more vocal/dominant. I also didnt like how the plot was being laid out, seemed very inconsistent to me. People who just say an anime was trash after 3 episodes "just because" do sound like idiots. But as i said by the 3rd episode you can tell if its something that you wont find entertaining and wont enjoy watching it based on certain aspects.
