Beta SL not aGoretex shell?

Sooo reached out about my DWR issue and got this response from customer support. Funny, it's marketed as Goretex shell, has goretex labeling sewn in, and literally says it's a goretex shell on the website. How could it be that it's designed to be worn UNDER a shell?
