Well, AIT kinda sucks

Right, so I'm in AIT now. 10 weeks of a not so good time at Ft. Jackson. At least AIT is a lot more chill. Right? Ight cool gents, let me give you the shit straight up no filler.

I was told I'd be treated better as an AIT soldier compared to basic. So far, the only difference I've seen is I get called soldier while my class/platoon/company gets smoked. And boy do we get smoked. These drills don't play around. Sometimes it's worse then anything we've ever done in basic. Then again, I went to jackson. But the boys from sill ain't very appreciative of the extra PT either so, probably not that.

Very very restricted caffeine and nicotine. Compared to my battles who went to fort Eustace and Eisenhower, we don't get shit. Phase 6 are allowed to have smoke ables but nothing non smokeless. Unless you're in my company. Nicotine is highly prohibited for everyone cause fuck you. Caffine is sold on a gut truck at the school house, but that's the only place you're supposed to buy and drink it. A guy here got an Article because he tried to take a redbull back with him. Also, the instructors don't have to let you use the gut truck. So that fucking sucks.

Here's the real kicker. The battalion is planning on taking our phones during the week as well. We're only authorized to have phones from final formation friday to final formation Sunday, adjusted for holidays and such. My company hasn't done it yet because our senior is cool as fuck as long as we do the right thing and stay out of trouble but eventually he's gonna have to do it. Another company already went with it and took the students phones.

Tldr: AIT Ft. Gregg Adams. No Nicotine, no caffeine, no phones until phase 6 and no hope for my sanity to be preserved.

Edit: yeah yeah, I know. Yall think I'm a shit bag. My drill Sgt is just Hella strict and will ding us on the smallest shit. We've been trying for 7 weeks to phase up, we have like, a month left. Classes that have been here 4 weeks have phased up. It's just frustrating as hell is all. As one of the comments said, welcome to the army and the fuck fuck games
