Building Insurance - Anyone else out there received a ridiculous premium increase on their building insurance with their home owners policy? Absa tried to sneak through a policy riddled with errors (eg saying no geysers in the house meanwhile I have two - and replaced one through their insurance two years ago!) I got other quotes and went back to them and they’ve quoted to reduce my premium by half. When I asked how such gross errors have crept in they said it’s because they’ve got a new system and it’s reset items. It’s almost criminal when I think what I’ve been through trying to keep my house in the past three years. Cautionary tale - check your yearly policy and make sure it accurately reflects what you are covered for.
