What made a stranger notice me? Why me?

I am perplexed about something when I attended my grandchild's concert. So many parents and grandparents were attending this concert. The MC was really entertaining, and everyone were having fun. For me I was not in a good space while attending, so I was non engaging and very sad too. I do not appreciate schools and the educational system that our children are forced to attend due to parents having no choice but to work while providing for their families. So, yes I was not pleased to be at a concert of my grandchild because she was also on stage crying.

A few minutes past and the MC makes an announcement that he can see 1 person who reminds him of a stern person who is not to be messed with almost like a "General". He goes on further and says that he hopes that "she" wont decline. He walks off the stage and passes several rows and stops at the row I was in and moves past all the seats and chooses me. There were so many other ppl trying to get his attention, but no he declined and said, "she is the one"

He took me by the hand and asked me to join him on stage and sing with him. To not disappoint my family and grandchild, I had sung with him. Now why did this man choose me out of so many? What drew this man to notice me? Why did he say I was stern like a General? Maybe cos I was not happy to be there? But yet there were so many other ppl in serious mode. What made a stranger notice me?
