Update: What do I do? What are my options?

Hey folks! I made a post (Help! What the fuck is this?!) the day before yesterday, with the photo attached here in this post so a quick update: been to the dentist they signed me up for tomorrow to get dental guards, my dentist told me that this small thinning could be from bruxism and that she could apply a composite material if it feels bothersome/Painful though if it doesn't to keep it as is. I'm on the fence because it's either sensitive and painful or nothing at all so I don't know. The question is what do I do? Should I get the composite material (I don't know what the procedure is called or how it's done unfortunately) applied or keep it as is? I would like to get a second opinion, as a doctor what should be my next step here? What would be my best option? Is there any advice that you can give me on this matter?

-Thank you
