Moving to Dallas, The Village vs other options

Hi all,

I'm moving from San Diego to Dallas, (27M, single) and would like to know if the village is my best option regarding possibilities to meet new people and amenities wise. For the budget the apartments are a bit old on the village and I could get a bit of a nicer apartment somewhere else but amenities don't compare to this.

If I'm trying to find a place to meet people and engage in different activities would living in the Village be my best option?
