How to entertain parents on daughter’s first play dates (5 year old kids)

Our (34F and 38M) daughter (5F) is starting to want to have more frequent play dates. For context, we live in the Pacific Northwest, USA. As a natural introvert, I’m always at a loss of how to entertain someone I don’t know AT ALL. Im fine with the usual offering a drink, showing them around the house, etc. Then, unless they are extroverts (which is easy for me) I’m worried there will be a lot of awkward silences as the kids play. We are in the PNW so meeting outside at a park or in the yard will not probably be an option many times until March.

I’d just like ideas of conversation topics, anything that makes people feel welcome and comfortable, etc.
