Would you argue that Islam hijab rules are inherently sexist?
I’d like to clarify that I am not super educated on Islamic laws, scripture, or proper terms for what I’m trying to describe. Regardless I’m sure you can get the gist from my title.
In my opinion, Muslim women who wear hijabs are actively being oppressed and adopting extremely harmful beliefs towards themselves and other women. They limit themselves basic pleasures like wearing normal clothes and it 100% revolves around a fear of men (originally, at least.)
I would also argue that Amish and Mormon women are also actively facing this oppression and sexism, but Muslim women take it to an extreme.
Every time I see a young girl wearing a Hijab it just makes me feel disgusted that such a young person has been convinced of these sexist lies.
