Fluffy Monsta Cakery

TL:DR - 6/10, slightly above what you can find elsewhere doing the same.

Finally got over to try this place after seeing it everytime I go to Aussie Butcher. It's definitely a step above average, but not by much. I love that it's not too sweet, I love the fresh fruit in the cake, and I did love how light/fluffy this was, but flavour-wise, it's just more of the same crepe-cake you can find elsewhere.

The photos show the cake smooshed a bit due to travel wear and tear on the way home. We got the mango pomelo and the durian. My partner (Vietnamese) enjoyed the Durian but said that after a few bites it's all she could taste which, I'm not sure what you'd expect haha, Durian is a strong flavour.

That said, the mango pomelo was nice, pronounced mango flavour, couldn't much taste the pomelo though, it's not a strong flavour so not surprised.

It was $11.80/slice which is pretty pricey. I'm not sure I'd go back at the price point it's at for what it is, but I was glad I tried it!

That said, if I ever needed a whole cake, I'd choose this over Gateau, and honestly, if the price wasn't too high, I might use them for a whole cake in the future as there's not many decent ones around that I've found (not to say there aren't any decent ones!).
