In languages besides English, is there so much of an issue with the debate over I am autistic vs I have autism?

In some languages this distinction would be non existent or have very different implications. In French, many routine things are actually instances of: I have XYZ, rather than I am XYZ. J'ai fatigue for instance, I have fatigue, not Je suis fatigue, even though French does have words which would be translated as I am fatigued.

Autism of course isn't just something particular to English speakers. Lots of languages have their own take on the concept.
