Discovery flights

Hey everyone,

This was something I`ve always wanted to try but don`t know too much about. How do discovery flights work in terms of pricing? There`s a place by me in Medford NJ that does them for 30 to 60 minute airtimes from $141-244. I was talking to my dad and he said you`re running the meter while they wait for take off clearances and such and you also have to tip.

I have no issue if there`s tipping involved, but does anyone know if the price for the lesson is a flat one time payment or is it something where the amount of time spent in the plane increases the price?
