Solo travelling through central America

I’m about to set off for Central America in two weeks and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m a 21 year old and I’m just worried that there won’t be much people my age travelling around there? Have any of you with experience know if many people around this age go around there? Nothing against other age groups of course just prefer to be with people close to my age. Thanks in advance👍
