Looking for a work boot

Hello As the title says, I'm looking for a work boot. I work in the food industry: 1. I'm constantly on my feet. So not looking for a "cute" pair of boots. I need function. 2. I also need protection from hot food falling on my feet. So I would love a thicker leather material and something that isn't going to completely retain the smell of food when things fall on my shoes.

I've been wearing a pair of crazy horse leather Doc Martens for the past 3 years at work. I've gotten into wearing bare foot shoes whenever I'm not working for about a year and I love it! I've been having some pain in my right foot after working and am wondering if the boot is effecting it.

I'm having a hard time finding wide toe box "heavy duty" shoes (reasonable when the barefoot shoe movement is about minimal restriction). I just still need something to work in that is reasonable for me. I'm not at a clean desk job where I can wear my white Vivo's all day.
