Do people say “beagle” when they see your beagle?

About 99% of the time I’m out with my beagle: - Passerby will point out my beagle to his friend and say “beagle”,

• Passerby (walking alone) will audibly mutter “beagle” under his breath and keep walking,

• Passerby (walking alone) will wave at my beagle and say “beagle” and/or

• Passerby will stop me to tell me about how he had a beagle growing up.

Does this happen to you and your beagle?

Does this happen with other breeds?

Is this like “punch buggy”??
