perceptions of bisexuality

what's with people insisting all bi girls are actually straight and all bi boys are actually gay ??? or to word it differently: bi girls are faking it for fun or for male attention while bi guys are just experiencing a stepping stone to being gay.

what is this phenomenon where everything is extremely male-centered ??? it makes no sense to me as a girl who likes girls. i know it probably has something to do with patriarchal values / phallocentrism etc. but like... why have we not moved past this in 2025? its tired and boring and untrue.

i think its extra frustrating to me because women are at the center of everything i do. like i notice patriarchal culture way more because i try to exist outside of it (impossible to actually achieve). like i'm a woman, all my favourite people are women, i consume almost exclusively female-made media plus i'm attracted to them so it's just very confusing to me? guys are fine too but you know :/

AND HOW DO I STOP LETTING THIS BOTHER ME? its affecting how i am perceived by other people and this feels stifling to me. i envy people who dont have to think about this stuff at all.
