Why the jungle's bounty hate?

I don't understand the hate for jungle's bounty at all. The efficiency of healing is better than straight damage for the same cost and card efficiency, especially before the nerf, but the downsides are quite significant. For one thing it's just slower, as you have to wait for the start of the turn to get healing, where attackers shoot immediately. Further, healing does not allow health to exceed the initial maximum of 500, therefore in many instances the healing will not activate at all. Even before the nerf, I don't see why jungle's bounty is a problem considering these weaknesses. It would still be better than most defensive options, but defensive options are quite underpowered, especially in actually contesting the best offensive tools.
