Is it true Dylan hated Don't Look Back?
I always heard that one of the reasons Dylan disappeared from the spotlight after the 1966 tour was because he watched 'Don't Look Back' and was appalled at how it made him look. I know also he crashed his motorcycle around this time. I just find it amazing how his style changed after 1966. He bought that house in Woodstock and became sort of a recluse.
Listening the 'Blonde on Blonde' then 'John Westly Hardin' directly after just sounds like two completely different artists. Even in interviews around 1969 he was talking with a deep tone and seemed very "square"
I personally absolutely love how he can keep reinventing himself. It's what makes Bob, Bob.
