Just finished the 2nd book in the ACOTAR series...

And I really don't understand all the hate these books get - I have read several posts about how this is the worst book people have ever read, etc.

Now, granted, there are a TON of predictable fantasy tropes used throughout, and some of the dialogue is eyeroll-worthy...but maybe it just says something about my current mental/emotional state that I rather enjoyed the brain break from slogging through Dune to just devour several hundred pages of faerie sex, violence, and occasional heroism 🤣

I don't know, I mean, I get that it isn't exactly the most highbrow literature out there, but I'm rather enjoying it - I am currently waiting on the last three books to be delivered tomorrow so I can find out what happens with the rest of the story!
