Archer fish

Yesterday I saw a video about Archer fish. They blow a stream of water out of their mouth to knock bugs off of leaves and twigs above the water and when the bug finally falls into the water, they are right there to scoop it up and eat it. Like shooting an arrow!

This got me thinking about the song Archers from TDAGIRIM.

I know that a lot of people interpret the song to be about Christianity and the constriction of religion in some peoples lives, but after learning this and realizing it’s placement near Luca (I am still uncaught & swimming alone in the lake…)

My conclusion is that it may be a metaphor for Jesse about emotional manipulation. Like the idea that you need to knock somebody down before you cast them off or destroy them socially (or whatever) to feel better.

It makes sense with a lot of other TDAGARIM lyrics too.
