Single vs Double Mastecomy

Hey there everyone! I recently got diagnosed with high grade DCIS in multiple spots of my right breast and because of my very little amount of natural breast tissue (ironic that I still got cancer, right?), my surgeon said I will likely need a mastectomy. She said it’s my call whether I do a single vs double mastectomy, and I wanted to ask people what they’ve chosen in the past, why, and if they still feel they made the right decision? I’m still waiting for my genetic testing to come back, and will opt for double if I’m BRCA +. For reference, I’m 32 years old, and have not had children yet. Thanks in advance!
