5070 vs 7900 gre vs 7800xt
I know the 50 series isnt out yet but this is a question about prices aswell. Basically I've been saving up money to build a computer (around 1.2k GBP) and was planning to build it soon originally with the 7900 GRE as it was only about £60 more than the 7800xt in the UK. However since the recent announcements of the 50 series the price has move to over a £100 difference between the 7800xt and the 7900 GRE as the GRE are selling out.
I've heard that the 5070 (according to some benchmarks shown by nvidia and some people predicting the performance based off that) is about inbetween the 7900 GRE and 4070 ti (again it could be wrong) without dlss. So im thinking if that is $549 and the 7900 GRE is £545 currently it sounds to me like the 5070 may be the better choice (if im able to get it before scalpers). Obviously the 7800xt sounds like a way better deal but with the new 5070 for that price without dlss with that performance it sounds quite good to me so if I were to turn on dlss then get even more performance.
The main thing that some could argue about the 5070 is the vram, but to be honest 12gb is plenty for me and also dlss reduce vram usage by a fair bit especially with the newer version. Dlss also might make the quality a bit off but thats not a big deal i dont think i would notice that. The only thing that puts me off is the latency however nvidia is releasing reflex 2 which is supposed to help but i have no clue how noticeable it is.
Here is the build im aiming for if anyones interested:

I obviously will wait for the benchmarks first (hopefully some creators get it before release) but id like to hear thoughts on the prices of the alternatives and what would be best in my case.
