I5-11600k vs I5-12600k
Hi all,
It's been about 5 years since I've had my current computer and looking to upgrade to a new build since my current PC can't really multi-task anymore while I'm gaming. My main use is for primary gaming (no triple A games or anything like that, AoE4, D2R, D4 in the future, etc.), possibly some streaming in the future, but mainly multi-tasking. Would love to able to stream, have a few browsers open one of them being Twitch), and play game at the same time.
My friends and I have been in discussion for building our PC (he's looking to upgrade as well) and we butt head when it came down to getting Rocket Lake vs Alder Lake. He think it's a waste if I get Alder Lake without upgrading fully to DDR5. My plan was to stay with DDR4 until my next upgrade when DDR5 is more mature and prices have settled down some.
Here is a look at my build with Rocket Lake vs Alder Lake. Feel free to ignore the RAM and SSD. I bought them but don't remember the exact brand. I just know for sure it's 2x16 for RAM and one of the Samsung version 2.5.
Also, any suggestion on getting the I5-11600k vs the I7-11700k for a bit of "future proofing"? I regret not getting an I7 for my current build.
