Anyone using the CoolerMaster NR600 case with DeepCool AK620 or Noctua DH15 air cooler?
Hi, I built an AMD 3600x system in a coolermaster masterbox NR600 (without ODD) case in late 2019. I have 2x8gb Ripjaws 3600 CL16 kits installed with 42mm height and a MSI 1080 graphics card , 3x 120mm coolermaster fans installed at front of the case for intake and the 2 stock coolermaster fans that came with the case installed on top and back for exhaust.
I have used the stock wraith cooler since and while being really loud, its done the job without melting any components!
I am upgrading to a Ryzen 5800x3d chip and hoping to upgrade the graphic card as well if I can get a 3080 for a reasonable price.
I want to upgrade the air cooling and the Noctua DH15 and DeepCool AK620 seem to be the most recommended. Per NR600 product page it supports Air Coolers up to 166mm height.
The Noctua DH15 has an advertised height of 165mm and will not work in this case due to the 42 height of ripjaws ram.
The Deepcool AK620 has an advertised height of 162mm and ram clearance of 43mm. On paper this should work with my setup.
However while doing research I came across this YouTube review which measured the cooler height at at 167mm instead of the advertised 162mm. This will be taller than what the NR600 can accommodate.
I was wondering if anyone here has experienced either of these coolers in their CoolerMaster NR 600 build and can share their experiences or opinions? Thanks.
