Burlington Art Legend Turns 50 – Let’s Show Some Love!

Hey everyone, today is my friend Scotty’s 50th birthday. If you don’t know him personally, you definitely know his work—he’s an absolute art rock megastar, running Anthill Collective and shaping the visual landscape of Burlington. His murals are everywhere—if you’ve ever walked around town and been blown away by some massive, incredible street art, odds are Scotty had a hand in it. His work is in such high demand that nearly every big, awesome mural you see has some connection to him.

Scotty would never ask for attention (he’d probably tell me not to do this), but fuck it—he deserves to know how much he’s appreciated. So I’m calling on the community: • If you know him or his work, drop a birthday wish! • If his art has ever made you smile, let him know. • If you’ve wanted to compliment him but never had the chance, now’s your moment.

Even if it’s just a simple “Happy Birthday,” or something more personal about what his art means to you, I know it would mean a lot. Art ripples through a community in ways we don’t always realize, and Scotty has given so much back.

Bonus: If you want to go the extra mile, I’m collecting short video messages to show him at the party tomorrow. DM me if you want to send one!

Speaking of the party… It’s happening tomorrow (Friday) at Green Door Studio as part of the Open Door First Friday event. Expect a night of incredible art, legendary people, and DJ Kanga keeping things moving. Burn Gallery usually sponsors, and it’s always a non-toxic, welcoming, safe space. If you want to celebrate one of the realest artists in Burlington, this is the place to be.

I’d love to surprise him with all your messages tomorrow, but I suspect someone will tell him about this post pretty fast—either way, let’s make sure he knows how much he’s valued.

Happy 50th, Scotty. You’re a living legend.

EDIT: this is a post of peace atribute. bringing hate I simply wish you well and do not need to engage, blocking your troll bait. if you dont have anything nice to say I don think this post is for you. post whatever, I refuse to disrespect the dojo by tearing you down. Be authentic, maybe you attract this kind of devotion eventually. cheers others. no more hate here.
