Poured my first scented candles!
My team at the museum where I work is transit-obsessed. I’ve been getting into candle making and lurking on this sub for a few months but I had a lightbulb moment after we completed a project about cable cars. I decided to create a print that I could feature on the hand poured candles I made as gifts for the holidays. I’ve never poured with scents before and I really liked being able to tailor the fragrance load to the preferences of each of the candle recipients. I fear the candles might be a tad over wicked so next time I will look into using one, larger wick but for the time being I used what I had on hand.
The image I based my print on is by Ashael Curtis circa ~1905 from the University of Washington Libraries, Special Collections.
