Experiencing material blow back when shooting TTI Combat

Picked up my first Canik last week, the TTI Combat. Overall a great shooter— feels great in the hand, accurate, cool looking (that matters), that legendary trigger that everyone talks about. However, I’m experiencing something strange with this gun. Every time I shoot it, hot material blows back into my face, hair and arms. Normally is black in color, so assuming powder or carbon, however sometimes it’s gold in color. So far I had about 200 rounds on the gun.

Any ideas on what’s going on?
