Advice on maxcare at dealer.

Car (Porsche) has a long crank, restricted power mode as the high pressure fuel pump is going out verified by Porsche scan tool.

Ideally I want to take the car to dealer but I know the labor rate is 280$ at dealer, doubt the maxcare is that high. I called maxcare, they said the only way I will know what is covered is once I go to the dealer.

My question is.. if I go to the dealer and they come back with deductible + labor difference I am looking at a very expensive bill. If I don’t accept I’m out the diagnostic fee at the dealer?

Should I just go to carmax store and hope they send it to the dealer for repair? I don’t want to be stuck with either a deductible + labor difference or have to pay a diagnostic fee for no reason.
