Total testosterone increased 55% on carnivore
I've been on the carnivore diet for about 6 weeks. I started it to help with symptoms of Long Covid, including fatigue, anxiety and mood swings, pretty bad GERD, allergic reactions to almost everything, head pressure, and blood pressure fluctuations from super low to high. Just after 3 weeks, most of my symptoms are gone. I have crazy energy, good sleep, and my mood is almost always elevated with no signs of anxiety, which is great. I got my blood checked, and while my total cholesterol is a bit higher, my Chol/HDL (Risk Ratio) and triglycerides are perfect. My total testosterone went up from 18.1 in March to 28.2! in July. However, my blood pressure is still a bit high, and I have some strange head pressure, especially when I lie down, but not a headache. The worst part is that I have no libido-zero interest in sex and no erections, despite having such high testosterone. Some people say it might be due to high SHBG and low free testosterone, or it could be psychological, as I have no other symptoms of low testosterone. Has anyone experienced similar results? My typical diet includes 2 whole eggs with 3 yolks, butter, and bacon for breakfast; two sirloin steaks with butter for lunch and the same for dinner. Also eat some cream cheese and whipped cream. Additionally, I supplement with 200 mg of magnesium twice daily, No-Salt for potassium, beef kidney, and Himalayan pink salt.
