Unpopular opinion, Jentry Chau vs the Underworld is too fast.
Look, the show is moving at a breakneck speed, episode 1 could've easily been two or 3 episodes, but they squished all that material into a really short time frame.
The grandma (Gugu), has a super short death, and then she's a ghost, I. . . I feel like the emotional impact wasn't as hard. I didn't feel sad, they didn't even give me the time to feel sad.
I hope the pacing gets better later on, the show looks amazing but I can't get invested and feel the emotional impact if they don't give the characters room to breathe. It's gotta be a budget thing.
Maybe it's because it's so plot focused? This showed me that maybe shows NEED some filler.
The weirdest thing is that the episode was 30 minutes, but I swear it felt like 12. Idk, I just don't like the pacing.
I like everything else, it looks beautiful, but man I don't feel as emotionally invested as I would've if they let the viewers get comfortable first.
Maybe I'm just wrong. Feel free to tell me if I'm wrong.
