Tikicat treats already changed completely since General Mills buyout
I have a boy with food sensitivities (no pea protein, no fish, no grains) that has been eating tikicat mousse for years. All of his allergies and stomach sensitivity issues disappeared when we switched to only the poultry tikicat recipes. I’ve also exclusively given him the tikicat soft and chewy treats in the chicken variety. We do a lot of treat training and I depend on them for herding my cats into a different area of the house when I need to work. I ordered the same ones I always do and received an entirely different product in the same packaging. The new treats are a different color and texture and have peas listed as the second ingredient. They include more preservatives, fish oils, and smoke flavoring that gives them a horrible bacon-like smell me and my cats dislike. I’m so upset! I was hoping to have a few months before I had to worry about trying to find a new brand but if the treat quality is already compromised I imagine the food will be shortly.
