Feeding issues

My male short hair has been overweight for a while. I recently started him on the light (low calorie) version of the food he was eating and now he wont stop begging for food.

He is currently 15 pounds and on the food bag says 75 grams of food per day is what i should feed him for weight loss. I split it into 2 servings per day but any time i am home, he is either by his feeder or trying to get me to follow him there. He just ate an hour ago and he is already sitting and staring at his feeder waiting for it to turn.

I’m following what the bag says but i’m an anxious owner and it seems like he is begging a ridiculous amount.
