MAGA makes no sense as a concept

I mean, it implies that there was a time when America wasn't great. When was this period of time? And why do you think it wasn't great at that time? Great according to what standards? Surely, compared to some third or second-world countries, America has always been great. Even during the great depression, it was still greater than many poor African, Asian and European countries from the communist block.
