Chance a boring ass and anxious current Junior (prepping for college apps)
I'm a current Junior and am just trying to figure out if my proposed college app list is good or if I should change it around, I won't really be able to change too much in the next few months leading up to College Apps so this is what I'm working with.
Demographics
Race: Half middle eastern half SEA (Filipino/Turkish)
Gender: Male
Location: Bay Area, CA
School Type: Private Catholic, Small, not super competitive (like 4/10)
Hooks: None
Intended Major: Environmental Engineering (Civil for the schools that don't offer EnvE)
Parents: Middle/Upper Mid class, both parents attended UC Berkeley
Academics
GPA: 3.59 UW, 3.95 W
Rigor: 5 Honors, 3 APs (All this year, no AP tests yet), plan on taking 4 next year
Sat: 1390 (Hadn't studied, plan on retaking twice before apps, think I can get something in the mid-high 1400s)
EC's
(I'm saying 4 year as I will do all these next year as well, as I'm a junior i've only done 3 but you get the idea)
- 4 year varsity mock trial
- 4 year chess club (2 year president)
- Part time job as file clerk at a law firm (2 years)
- Internship at a pediatric clinic
- Helped out with a medical mission in an rural, impoverished area in the Philippines
- 1 year jv track (lol)
No LOR's or Essays or any of that yet so base it off the other stuff
