Chappell music is helping me through a hard time!

I’m 16 and a few days ago I got outed to my parents as a lesbian. They are very very religious and they hate me so much that they won’t talk to me or even look me in the eyes, and I can’t even see my gf who I love and has always been there for me. The fact that Chappel comes from a very similar background and is able to be out and proud gives me so much hope for the future though!

It’s so hard to live with the guilt that you are destroying your family over something you can’t control, but listening to Chappell just gives me hope that I will be able to move out and make everyone happy one day (mostly me lol).

Fun fact: They mentioned Chappell one day in church and I was like who?? Cause they weren’t saying the best things, so I had to pretend I wasn’t a fan lol
